Is Social Rebel Legit Or Another Scam? (Honest Review In 2024)

Social Rebel has successfully become a bit popular in the USA in the last two years (post-pandemic). They claim to give you a $50 signup bonus and a $20/referral commission. But do you even know if Social Rebel is a legit site or not?

Many sites do offer signup bonuses to attract new users, as they use it as a marketing tool. Besides, many sites also provide referral commissions to expand their business rapidly. But no get-paid-to site promises to give as generous rewards as Social Rebel does!

But Social Rebel claims that it started operating in 2018, although the who.is page suggests that the domain was registered in August 2021.

So, how is it possible that a domain that started operating in 2021 has been paying its users since 2018?

Yes, from here, my doubt started! So, I decided to review Social Rebel myself. But before that, let’s check out the basic details of this site.

Dreamshala Rating: 0/5, in terms of everything, starting from earning potential to the legitimacy of the site. It is better to avoid this site, as I myself had no luck trying it for weeks.

 

What Is Social Rebel?

Social Rebel is a self-claimed GPT (get paid to) site that has been in operation since 2021 (let’s not take their 2018 theory).

While I was trying to understand if Social Rebel is legit or not, I investigated their “About Us” page first. And suspicious things started to appear from the very beginning.

According to the site, Chad Evans and Ralph R. Lawson are the (alleged) co-founders who started this company in the USA as an LLC. Then they shifted to the Netherlands. So, I tried to search for them on LinkedIn.

But do you know what I found? NOTHING! The co-founders of a company that paid more than $22 million don’t have their LinkedIn profiles. Can you buy that?

Then they claimed on their site that they have a presence in more than 140 countries. Maybe on a different planet (possibly Pandora), but not on planet Earth!

Because I tried to access the site using my VPN, and Social Rebel is not available in most countries.

Social Rebel also claims that you get a $50 signup bonus just to join it, and then you can make $500 in a very short time. Both these claims are red flags, as money is not flying as of now!

They also claim that they will pay you $2/click on your referral link and $20/referral if they actually join. $2/click, really? I better watch ads for money rather than buy these fake claims!

 

How Does Social Rebel Work?

It is easy to create a profile on Social Rebel, as you need to give just your name and a valid email ID to get started.

Once you log in to your Social Rebel account, you’ll be redirected to the dashboard, where you can find all the short tasks.

When I checked it, there are five types of tasks available on Social Rebel, which are as follows!

These tasks are legit, as I found some genuine companies and apps in the dashboard. I even found some legit survey sites that offer cash payouts on the dashboard. So, it is true that Social Rebel made some connections and partnered with some legit sites.

But, while they get their payment from the end client, you won’t get your cut. I found no genuine profile that shows me proof that they received any payment from Social Rebel.

 

How Social Rebel Pays Its Users?

A few of my users have asked if there is an app that Social Rebel uses to pay its users.

No, Social Rebel doesn’t use any such app. They claim to offer you a place where you can make $50 fast in a day. But what’s after that?

How will you cash it out? So, they claim to payout in various ways. Some of them are as follows.

When you log in to your account on Social Rebel and go to your dashboard, you can also find a store over there. They claim that you can purchase various prizes with your earnings from that store.

And that store offers premium items, such as iPhone 14, PS5, and Bose headphones, at discounted prices. But don’t get over-excited, as you’ll never be able to get a payout from them. It’s all a gimmick!

My Finding: Social Rebel listed all the payout methods just to lure new members. But there is no proof available that any of the genuine users actually got paid through any of the methods.

 

Does Social Rebel Actually Pay Anyone?

I was very clear from the very beginning that Social Rebel is not a legit site. But I still wanted to see if they have (even for their marketing) actually paid anything to anyone. And if it is possible to cash out or not!

Most of the legit short task sites do have some minimum payout threshold that ranges from $5 to $10. But here, it is a whopping $220. And you must have already known that it is tough to earn $220 from any GPT site.

Even if you successfully cross that $220 hurdle, they will through other challenges, which I’ll talk about soon. They will even ask for personal information and your IDs to start processing your payment.

If anyone completes all these steps, will they pay? The answer is NO! They will always come up with newer tricks to stop you from cashing out.

 

Is there any Social Rebel payment proof?

After I failed to get my payment from Social Rebel (which is expected), I spent a whole day trying to figure out if there was any payment proof available at all!

And to my surprise, the Social Rebel website itself has a payment proof page.

It features screenshots of many payment proofs. Some of the claims regarding their payment are as follows.

If you check those payment proofs closely, all the screenshots look identical. And you also can’t figure out in which app the alleged users have received the payment!

Those are not Cash App, PayPal, or Venmo screenshots. So, I tried to find out the users on social media platforms. And guess what! They are also fake, like the screenshots themselves.

I then searched on other forums, such as Reddit and Quora, to check if any payment proof was available there or not! I found no luck there as well.

My Findings: Don’t get blown away by their claims, as those are straight-out lies. If you want to try something easy but legit, you can try those platforms where you can get paid to read emails.

 

Is Social Rebel Legit?

NO, Social Rebel is not a legit site, and it is possibly a nasty scam that has been going on since August 2021.

Here are a couple of my arguments that may help you to understand why Social Rebel is not a legit site.

It is truly possible these days to make $300 or more pretty fast! But not this way, period! It is probably a data collection company that takes your detail and sell it to marketing companies as leads.

My Take: Don’t spend time on this site even if you find legit-looking payment proof anywhere. Social Rebel planted fake reviewers everywhere, and they can definitely come up with newer tricks.

 

How Does Social Rebel Scam People?

If you desperately need money now, you may fall for the trap Social Rebel has already planted through their unbelievable claims and hefty (fake) payment proofs.

You need to remember that people looking for easy money online are the main targets of scammers.

They take advantage of the desperation and crisis of the needy people and en-cash those to scam them. Now, let’s see the two main ways how this site is scamming people.

Social Rebel has indeed partnered with some legit companies, as you can find some genuine deals on the dashboard. But the problem is that you won’t get any cut from their earnings.

My Finding: Social Rebel is basically a data collection/harvesting company that gathers user data and sells those to third-party sites. And to get some quick traffic, they took the darker road!

 

Pros And Cons Of Social Rebel
